Push new meta to all clients

I''ve integrated PFC chat into a custom portal - it works fine.
But now I've run into a situation - users use ajax-based dialog to update their profile and then I call:

pfc.setUserMeta(nick, key, val);
pfc.updateNickBox();

which updates meta but only locally. How can I push changes to server, so everyone in chatroom will see new settings (e.g. avatar)?
