Hello,
im new here, congratulations to the great chat script! Its awsome!

I have a question... it is possible to start a chat session in background automaticaly when the user login to a cms. I use ModX and for now phpfreechat runs in a popup... but this must be startet from the user. I want to realize that the user automatically loged in to the chat but the chat is hidden... only the online list should be displayed and a sound should be play on a new message for the user. Then the user can decide what he want do... open the chat window or ignore the messege. I need a hint how i can start a hidden chat session... Is this possible? Sry for my bad english

I'm sorry, I just don't understand what your asking to do. Could you break it down into a step by step?

I will try ;o)

1. I use phpfreechat into modX i use the Username from modX. Wich is saved in a session. The Chat opens in a Popup. Thats all ok and good!
2. On the Startsite of my Page i have a infobox wich shows me who is online in chat. (look at the image)

3. When the User logon on the Page, phpfreechat should start automatic, but not in the Popup rather in background. So that other users this user see Online without he has opend the Popup.

So, as soon as he is logged in in the CMS he is automatically logged in in the chat. But without a chat window is opend.

log the user in the chat without physically open the chat.. and hold the user online until he is logging out from the cms.

I have tryed to put the chat in a hidden div... that works but to many files are loadet.

Short: when i login in the cms should i shown in the chat as online...

Better?

the yellow Box is the who is online display

Ok, let me be clear (my apologies if I'm missing it):
You want to have a who's online list, so a user can decide if they want to open the chat as a pop-up?
But the tricky part is that you want them to be shown as logged in even though the chat wont be up?

You could try putting the chat in a div and setting it to display:none, and then set it to display on the push of a button?
