Modifying PFC to relay messages across channels

Hi,

I've made a social networking web site with user accounts and friend lists (http://www.norcalhotspot.com). I plan on integrating PFC with my own login system for the site (I don't care about supporting guest users). I used to use IRC back in the day, but am looking for a slightly different chat model. I was hoping to make PFC to relay messages to multiple channels. The idea is that every user will have their own custom room. Maybe generate each room based on the user's existing UserID. Messages sent will get cross posted to all of the friends' custom rooms. In short, I'm trying to figure out how difficult it would be to modify PFC to do something like this. I'm going through the code, and it seems I should take a closer look at containers. Any thoughts on this?
