Why does phpfreechat work standalone on my server but inside an iframe wrapper in joomla it gives a 'cookies disabled' error message? I'd figure that if it's a php issue, it wouldnt be working as a standalone application. Does iframes disable cookies or do something to applications that make it show the error "Cookies appears to be either disabled or unsupported by your browser. This web application requires Cookies to work properly. Please enable Cookies in your browser settings, or upgrade to a browser with Cookies support and try again."

Thanks for all help

I'm getting warmer I just still need help. Here is a website I found with a possible reason:

http://gathadams.com/2007/06/25/how-to- ... lications/

Basically it notes that inside an IFRAME "Cookies written by your application will be treated as Third Party cookies by your browser, and in IE6 with the default privacy setting of ‘Medium’, they will be deleted" and they recommend adding this following code to every page that needs to set cookies:

header('P3P:CP="IDC DSP COR ADM DEVi TAIi PSA PSD IVAi IVDi CONi HIS OUR IND CNT"');

Now I need to know what files in the phpfreechat directory structure needs this added to the top. Unless there is an alternate solution.

Wow that is back in February of 2008. I just checked my joomla app and it's using the menu wrapper feature. I went through the code and my first look it seems I didn't change the code so possibly it has to do with a php.ini issue. Keep us posted. I will look more into it if you still can't figure out the issue.
