I just installed your package and I LOVE it! At the moment I'm still tweaking a number of the parameters to get things the way I want. One problem that I've come up with is with the "max_nick_len" parameter.

I have the following line in my php file,
$params["max_nick_len"] = 25;
However the nicks still get cut off at 15 characters. If I set the value to less than 15 it woks but I can't seem to get it above 15. Am I missing something?

I just noticed that
$params["nickmarker"] = false;
and
$params["display_ping"] = false;
don't appear to be working as described either

Could this be a result of the theme I'm using? (blune)

Well according to the parameter list, you can't make it so the nick name is longer that the default... so I would imagine that's the problem:

As for the other problem... does it work when you use the default theme?

I guess I read the documentation incorrectly (although it would appear that should really be reworded) I don't see what the point of having "max_nick_len" is though. There is no way to change it from a max of 15 no matter what value to put in, smaller or larger (earlier I thought numbers smaller than 15 were working but I just had my screen pushed small enough to appear that they were working. In reality I got no change). Is this an array parameter or something?

As for
$params["nickmarker"] = false;
and
$params["display_ping"] = false;
even with the default theme they aren't doing what they should. I added them to the default php file and I still get randomly assigned colors with names and ping times showing up.

Any thoughts?

Hmm, no I think I have misread it (sorry about that)... perhaps you're just having an issue with the parameter.

Did you rehash after changing them?

Rehashing solved the problem. I don't think I was logged in as an admin when I did it the first few times. Thanks for the help! I love the application!!
