Chat/Forum Format

I use PHPbb3. I just installed Php Free Chat. I would like to integrate. Before I do...what is the top layer of the integration, please? When logging into my php forum, do I link to chat from there OR is the chat are the main format with the forum within that as it appears here on phpfreechat.net/forum ?

I would like to log into the forum, then have the ability to link into the chat. Does anyone have a site set up that I could view how it looks? I just know it's going to take me some time to figure out all the technical aspects of integrating the two and prefer to know what it will look like before I spend too much time and not having the end result we desire.
