Found this feature under "contributions" - but not updated for a while.
Will this be included in the "official" version, and could it cause problems on updates in the future if I use this "fix"?
A very useful feature to avoid anyone impersonating you on the chat, if you ask me.

I'm working on a good user management system for the chat, but it's a slow going process (I want it to be bug free and very secure). You could always install the patch for now and then just reinstall the software (using your current parameters) whenever the "offical" release is ready.
