Preview window?

I just found this website

What do you guys think of having embeded preview windows while we type? It looks really cool though, I believe the implementation will be on Javascript side, instead of the server side.

It looks like phpFreeChat though. So maybe we can take the preview window to enchance phpFreeChat

Yes it's a good idea.

It easy to implement since I moved the smileys and bbcode parsing to client side.
However, it's not a priority for me now.

But feel free to contribute and ask me for quick explanations about where to add the code.

Add a preview zone into :
themes/default/templates/chat.html.tpl.php

Style it with a rule into :
themes/default/templates/style.css.tpl.php

Create a "writePreview" function into :
themes/default/templates/pfcclient.js.tpl.php

Use the existing "parseMessage" function to convert smileys/bbcodes to html code.
Then connect the writePreview function to the keydown event and parse the entered text each time a caractere is typed.

Is it clear ?
