How users can adapt nickname etc and storage them ??

How users can change them own parameters - like them nickname, or themes, skins - and storage this on them own computer/cliente, so that these parameters are applied automatically on each start of the client ??

Where I (server-side) can change the channel/room name with what the chat opens as default for all clients ??
