Images for BBCode Colours

I just noticed that the colour buttons for the BBCode are made up of images.

I was thinking - wouldn't it be better to have a coloured div/table cell or something like that? As that will load much much quicker, use less bandwidth, and will also not be limited to the range of colours you've got gifs for?

Yes it whould be nice, but it's not on my planning.
