Sound?

Would it be possible to add in a sound whenever a new message is sent. Not on EVERY message. But after x amount of (example 2 mins) of inactivity, when a message arrives the chats makes a sound to alert you, if you were off doing something else. It would also be nice to have some sound for when someone joins the room.

Playing sound on every platforme and without external proprietary plugins (as flash) is a difficult task.
I will not work on it but if a clean solution is found, I will be pleased to integrate the contribution.

However, it is planned to add a "page title notifier" in the next 1.x version. (look at the roadmap)

Checking inactivity is also on the roadmap.
